A compartmentalized vessel in which sewage is received and retained to allow for separation of floating materials and settled solids, and from which the sewage effluent is pumped out. Pump-out tanks store the liquid in the working side of the tank until a certain capacity is reached, then starts filling the effluent side of the tank. Once liquid fills the tank up to a predetermined level, an electric pump in the pump chamber will turn on and start moving (dosing) the liquid to a septic field. The solid compartment of the tank is cleaned out by vacuum truck services at regular time intervals.
